Gibson EB bass humbucker, 1964 nickel cover

Manufacturer: Gibson

Part Type: pickup

This is an early 1960s EB bass humbucker, with the early 'wide shallow' style nickel cover (58mm x 85mm). As used on early Gibson and Epiphone bass guitars: Gibson EB-0, EB-2, EB-3, Epiphone Rivoli, Newport. Rare part, as used from 1963 and into 1965, at which point chrome covers were gradually phased in (typically on the EB3 before the EB0).

This one reads 29.9kΩ. Lead is approximately 21cm in length. Good working order. Pole pieces turn easily. Cover has some play wear, see pics. These early examples are not easy to find, especially with the original nickel-plate cover.
